Meanwhile Down on the Farm

Grant's "Uncle Wil" taught Grant much of what he knows about farming.  Here Uncle Wil stands with his beautifully restored 1954 IH Super M-TA.  While Uncle Wil has passed away since Grant still does the "Uncle Wilbur" test several times a year.  You put on a clean white button shirt, and change the engine oil and oil filters on your tractor.   If you can do it without getting oil on your shirt, you have passed the test!

Once the grain is in the bin, dried and cooled down it needs to be shipped to market.  Here it is being loaded into a semi trailer to be shipped to the local Ethanol Plant (corn).

2007 Jack has just finished spraying the weeds in the waterways and fence lines where the big sprayer can not go.  We call the ATV Mr. Moto. It's a long story about a cat we had that was a control freak.

We purchased our first tractor, and we call it the Anteater.  Kelley was along to supervise, of course.  Unfortunately the cab was not large enough for her to ride along.
