Down on the Farm

To our friends and followers:   2019 was a very trying year for us at the Rottweilerranch.   The winter was very harsh, and the weather never got over itself the whole year.   We will just skip 2019 on the page for now.  2020 has started out "interesting", the winter weather wasn't as bad at least, Since February Grant has been working on various brush and tree clear-up projects.  At the end of March now, he's starting on the mechanical work to get ready for spring planting.   Molly of course helps, but Jon Snow the Cat is the "Straw Boss" when it comes to the Stable and Mechanical work.

We traded in the Artic Cat ATV for this Ranger in Feb. 2020.   Molly likes it as its more dignified, and Grant enjoys the Power Steering and roof/windshield.

March 2020

In 2019 Grant did purchase an 'Antique Tractor',  This is his 1946 M just coming out of the winter storage in the machine shed.

We were set up to go on a Rhone River Cruise in April 2020, but that has been cancelled now due to the Coronavirus pandemic.   Maybe next year.   Under the current shelter at home orders in place  we can get out some, but our big "trip" now is driving to the Farm and Fleet about 25 miles away in Geneseo, IL.  Our internet ISP is having some issues, as everyone wants to stream Netflix or something like that so we're not getting quite what we'd like for internet.

More travel shots are in Trips and Travels .

The Rottweiler Ranch is our farm, in Northwest Illinois.  The origin of the name was from our original pet, Klaus,  a perfect  Rottweiler (Master of his Domain).   We grow Corn/Soybeans and Hay on our farm.   We do have a farm garden and orchard also for our own consumption.   Klaus, Kelley and Jack were are three Rottweilers (hence the name).    Kassie and Molly are our Farm Brittanies, and we had Ginger and Katrina before we owned the farm.
